Event titled Heat certainly lived up to its name at the weighins for the CBS EliteXC event. Ken Shamrock took exception to Kimbo Slice turning his back on him after posing during a wild weigh-in. The fighters had to be separated after nearly coming to blows.

Gina Carano needed a couple of attempts before making weight and posing with Kelly Kobold. Each weighed 141 pounds.

Challenger Paul "Semtex" Daley got in the face of EliteXC welterweight champion Jake Shields during their face-off. The pair exchanged harsh words and also had to be separated. Shields defends his welterweight title against Daley.
