OCT.
11 AFFLICTION EVENT POSTPONED |
|
by
Brian O'Hara. |
Affliction postponed
their October 11 show on Wednesday. The second ever event was to be
held in the UFC’s back yard at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas,
Nevada. Affliction President Tom Atencio has not made any public statements
regarding the reason for the postponement, however the event is said
to have moved to the Honda Center in Anaheim, California sometime in
January.
The postponement of the highly anticipated card comes as a great disappointment
to everyone involved. Fans will have to wait to see former UFC heavyweight
champion Andre Arlovski square off against Josh Barnett and the fighters
are forced to abruptly stop training just weeks away from the previously
scheduled date. The announcement raises many questions as to why the
decision was made to move the event to California.
