EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with THIAGO SILVA

Undefeated Thiago Silva is 13-0 and on his way to a title fight and will face Lyoto Machida at UFC 94. With only one fight to ever reach a judges decision, he has had decisive wins over Houston Alexander, Antonio Mendes, Tomasz Drwal and James Irvin.
MMA Sports caught up with Thiago Silva to get his thoughts on some of the fights for UFC 92.

MMA Sports – Do you believe Rashad Evans will beat Forrest Grifin at UFC 92?
Thiago Silva - I think Rashad has been living the best phase of his career. He surprised Liddell and I think he’ll KO using the same ground and pound game. I’m up for challengers and I would love to fight him for the belt. And it would have a name: UFC Unbeatable (laughs) because we would have no loses in our records…

MMA Sports - You have trained with Wanderlei Silva and he is about to fight Quinton Jackson again. What do you think is going to happen?
Thiago Silva - They are both great fighters and I have a lot of admiration for Wanderlei. As we used to call him at Chute Boxe, the “Cachorro Louco” (Mad Dog) will give another show for the fans. I bet this fight will have a lot of exchanging, kicks and punches. Wanderlei never walks back…and I bet on him.

MMA Sports - Talking about the heavyweights...what are your thoughts of that division?
Thiago Silva - Lesnar arrived at UFC and became a champion. But I believe his days are over on the top. In my opinion Rodrigo Minotauro will defeat Mir and then will take over his belt. Lesnar will fight Mir again and will lose again. I think the giant needs to train a lot of Boxing. Of course his fight with Couture was great…but he will not stand in the top for so long.
